    Everlasting Silence

Marcel_Marceau.gifThe news of the world today is that French mime Marcel Marceau, perhaps the most famous mime of all time, has died at the age of 84. Marcel's most famous character was Bip the Clown, whose white-painted face, striped shirt, and opera hat adorned with a single red rose were as recognizable throughout the world as any performer's signature garb. Marcel's ingenious skill of using his body as the sole prop not only entertained his audience through their own imagination, he inspired further employment of mime as an art form on a global scale (including Micahel Jackson's "Moonwalk" ) in what he termed "L'art du silence", or The Art of Silence.

A moment of silence for the French impressionist seems fitting here...
