    Felonious Football Follies

Hey, it just wouldn’t be the same without a review of the NFL police blotter, and this year we had a banner crop! Heading the list is Vick.jpgFalcons quarterback Michael Vick, whose career and lucrative endorsements have certainly gone to the dogs after being implicated in an interstate dog-fighting scandal. Titans CB Pacman Jones has been suspended for the season by Commissioner Roger Goodell for his role in a barroom brawl in a Las Vegas strip club that left a bouncer paralyzed. (His fans can still follow him on TNA.) Dolphins WR Chris Chambers was arrested for DUI in July and is scheduled to appear in a North Carolina court next week. Jerramy Stevens, Joey Porter, Chris Henry, Steve McNair. The list goes on and on. Since Super Bowl XLI, 38 arrests have been made on NFL players on charges ranging from misdemeanor marijuana possession to drug trafficking to illegal firearm possession to assault and battery. The new commissioner has been harsh and rightfully so, because pretty soon we’ll be able to watch more professional football players on Court TV than on the NFL Network. See what you started, O.J.???
